Brief

Grosvenor UK gave us the opportunity to collaborate with them and produce their Coronation Garden Party which was to be hosted in the beautiful settings of Grosvenor Square. This was a fantastic mix of placemaking within the public realm and gave guests from the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy the King’s coronation in style. It was a pleasure to work on such an enchanting event with one of London’s most prestigious estate owners.

What we did

We Are Placemaking worked closely with Grosvenor UK to deliver a quintessential London garden party for the May bank holiday weekend. We assisted them in producing the space which would hold a big screen for the live days along with food and beverage options for its many guests, reaching over 6000 for the two days of festivities.

During the lead-up to the event, we took part in resident workshops to understand the wider needs of the event. We then worked alongside resident traders The Barley Mow, Apricity x Roebuck, The Twenty-Two, Mr Fogg’s Tavern: Grey Goose and The Connaught Patisserie to deliver scrumptious offerings for the customers during the weekends.

We also worked with our trusted entertainment agency to provide a range of musical performances that kept the audiences singing and dancing rain or shine, along with two brilliant Beefeaters that truly gave the event that royal seal of approval for the King!
