Intro

We Are Placemaking were commissioned by The Crown Estate to work with ANM on producing a Christmas street party in conjunction with the Regent’s Street Christmas Light Switch On. The event was on Jermyn Street. In which we organised the road closure along with live entertainment and giveaways for guests along the street.

Delivery

For this years event we extended the road closure to the end of Jermyn Street which was bigger than the first year. This presented a challenge as we had to keep Duke Street open for one way vehicles. We put in an road closure crossing managed by traffic stewards, allowing people to cross the road safely. We delivered a bullet stage which had two performances from two bands and we had a roaming band and some sparkling stilt walkers! We brought in a selection of traders who were handing out a selection of winter treats, we had Churros, Buttered Rum Cocktails and Mocktails and some Hot Chocolate.
