Brief
We Are Placemaking were asked to partner with an upcoming and exciting artist to re-imagine the tree infrastructure that previously existed as “The Terrarium Tree at Christmas 2020“.
Having produced many other London placemaking projects before, as well as placemaking projects across the UK and further afield, we were keen to get involved.
King’s Cross Estate partnered with the talented Adam Nathaniel Furman to design the Spring/Summer Installation at the entry point to Coal Drops Yard.
What we did
We Are Placemaking partnered with Adam to deliver his vision for ‘Proud Little Pyramid’. The tree framework was cladded with di-bond and recreated to form a pyramid inspired by Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’ Music Video. This garnered wide-scale press attraction in London, appearing across Time Out’s socials and additionally featured on Dezeen. It was also really popular with visitors and the local stakeholders, and brought a new and exciting element to the public realm.
