Brief

For the third year running, we were again requested to deliver this fantastic celebration of Uzbekistan culture, within the beautiful surroundings of Potters Fields Park, London – bringing the colour, flavour, and energy of Uzbekistan to thousands of visitors once again.

Following the success of the previous editions, London-based Uzbek restaurant Oshpaz and the Uzbekistan Government asked us to continue building momentum with a renewed emphasis on digital presence and on-the-ground content capture.

This year’s festival retained its core mission: to celebrate and share Uzbek culture with audiences in the UK, while further enhancing the visitor experience with striking visual touches and new culinary offerings.

What we did

As with previous years, the festival featured arts and crafts, live music, DJs, and authentic Uzbek cuisine. New highlights included:

Culinary expansion – in addition to Plov, visitors enjoyed traditional Uzbek dumplings freshly prepared on site.

Visual identity – large Uzbekistan flags added a patriotic energy across the park, while oversized cultural letters created a photogenic backdrop and hero moment for attendees.

Media presence – an expanded social media focus saw the Uzbek team filming digital interviews and capturing more content to share with global audiences.

From an operational standpoint – we adapted to the unusually hot weather by ensuring free water access and prioritising visitor comfort. Security and fencing were also enhanced to streamline entrances and exits, and the VIP area was redesigned to provide more privacy for signatories and special guests.

Sustainability – this remained at key focus in the delivery. All structures and equipment were hired to minimise waste, and installations were planned with reusability in mind.

Despite scorching heat, the festival welcomed just under 30,000 guests, with many attendees dressed in vibrant Uzbek fashion, adding to the authenticity of the atmosphere. The event achieved stronger digital engagement, positive visitor experiences, and continued client satisfaction, with collaboration already again in 2026.

“The Uzbek Culture and Food Festival 2025 was a spectacular success. From the vibrant performances to the unforgettable culinary experiences, the atmosphere was filled with pride, joy, and cultural unity. We’re deeply grateful to We Are Placemaking for their outstanding support and seamless execution – this festival wouldn’t have been the same without them.”
